  • Needless to say, the debate regarding the effective management of urban foxes continues, not just in terms of pest control but also for potential public heath safety.

    The urban fox, not unlike its rural counterpart, suffers from various dieases that may also infect both humans and domestic pets such as:

    * Sarcoptic Mange

    * Toxocariasis (parasitic worm)

    * Lymes disease

    * Hydatid disease

    * Weils disease (Leptospirosis)

    * Tape worm ( Echinococcus multilocularis)

    * Canine Heartworm

    * Angiostrongylus Vasorum

    * Toxoplasmosis
