  • Foxes breed once a year. Inexperienced salespeople will have you believe that they breed every 6 weeks like rats!!

    After successful mating, fox cubs will be born in 52-53 days.

    In the London area, fox cubs will start to emerge from where they have been given birth to around late March / early April.

    In the London area, 6-7 cubs per vixen are expected.

    There is a high mortality rate in fox cubs with many dying in the first 2 weeks of birth from a range of health conditions.

    Dog foxes (male) have many wife's and will not necessarily be around.

    The vixen may be seen after 2-3 weeks coming and going from the earth or living quarters scavenging for food
